quick question and im sure you would know…when going to walgreens or cvs…when you purchase with walgreens or cvs bucks on a product you should be getting bucks back on…will you still receive the bucks or no? Ive been told yes and no by people…so just wondering…thanks!

As for Walgreens…
It depends on the item you are buying, and the RR that you are using to pay for it. If you have a Right Guard promotion going on and you get a Right Guard RR, if you turn around and use that Right Guard RR to buy another Right Guard order, the machine will not spit out another RR. HOWEVER, if you use that Right Guard RR on say…a Toilet Paper promotion that is spitting out a RR, you WILL get that one back (as it’s for another item).
With RR’s expiring every two weeks, if there’s nothing you can find that you want, it’s easy to work the numbers to “roll the RR” forward by buying something that will get you back the money in RR form, thereby extending your RR another two weeks.
Seldomly, there will be a promotion that allows you to “roll” the RR for the same item, but I’ve only seen it happen 3x so far in the past eight months, and it’s usually on items that are expiring very soon so they’re looking to dump inventory instead of take a hit on the lost revenue.
As for CVS…
Those are basically the same as cash, so they can be used for whatever, and as they are not the same as RR’s (Manufacturer Coupons), you can use as many as you want/need for a single item. Too, while they have an “expiration date”, I’ve been told by multiple CVS employees that they accept them beyond the “expiration date”.
Hopefully that helps…
