Earth Day Weekend 2012: The activities and freebies…


So as you know (or maybe not) this coming Sunday, April 22nd is Earth Day, when we remember the planet is not ours to destroy but merely “on loan” from past generations to future generations.  A lot of stores are trying to promote the day and the recycle ideology but proving freebies and giveaways:

The Body Shop:  Each person who brings in 3 recyclable containers to any The Body Shop outlet, will receive a 60ml shower gel (fragrance at the discretion of The Body Shop).


Disney Store:  FREE reusable tote [bring in 5 plastic bags to exchange] on 4/22


Target:  FREE reusable totes [these always go so fast] on 4/22

H-E-B:  Bring in 5 plastic bags to exchange for a FREE tote bag between 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on 4/22


Starbucks:  Bring in a resuable cup and get a FREE hot or iced coffee or a hot or iced tea on 4/22

NASA:   Free activities for the family in Washington D.C. on the Mall from 4/20 – 4/22. NASA will have Earth and Activity Tents which will host activities and hands-on demos, all for FREE!
